Join us Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at the Park Central Square library as Johnno Z, locally writer, director and producer of the feature film “Redneck Carnage” hosts our networking event for filmmakers.
What: Filmmaker Networking
When: Wednesday Sep 16th
Time: 7:00 to 8:00 pm
Where: Park Central Library
Johnno will be showing a trailer and some short clips from his film “Redneck Carnage” and if you ask, he’ll help you understand what it took to get the local Blockbuster stores to add his film to their inventory, how he created a TV show that was shown locally for 4 months and what he’s up to next. Here’s a review of the film
“Redneck Carnage is a twisted comedy that takes place in the Ozarks. With rampaging zombies and tons of extra surprises. The best zombie spoof on the market.”

Just as importantly, this is an opportunity for local filmmaker’s to get out and network with their peers. This event re-initiates one of our most popular events, formerly held at The Moxie. The feedback we got then was “great event but too early” as it was held from 4:30 – 6:00 pm in order to be able to show clips prior to regular Moxie screenings. The Library Center at Park Central Square offers us a convenient downtown location, multimedia services for screening material and hey, it’s next to The Coffee Ethic which means you have a convenient source of beverages, snacks and a place to continue the conversations after our event ends.
Tell your friends and come out for the first of many events. We’ll hold them on the 3rd Wednesday of the month during the school year. If you’d like to be the featured filmmaker, contact solson@missourifilm.org to get on the calendar. All filmmakers are invited to bring information and material on their filmmaking efforts to every event and other material can be shown depending on time constraints. Thanks to Johnno Z for agreeing to host the 1st event!
