Combining our love for both short and locally-made films, Moxie Shorts gives regional filmmakers a chance to show off their latest masterpiece in front of a receptive audience that has grown to love the medium. The submission window, and showcase weekend have both been pushed back to allow returning students a chance to enter their films. Make sure to check the guidelines for a list of specific rules.

Submissions are open to anyone and everyone in the Springfield metro area who would like to flex his or her filmmaking muscle and create a stellar short film. The Best of the Shorts in 2007 – Moxie Shorts 2007 produced 10 incredible short films this year. After being graded by our esteemed panel of judges, and voted on by three separate audiences, DUCK DUCK GOOSE broke out the broom and sweep all three categories. A big thank you to everyone who participated this year.

Duck, Duck Goose is a dark comedy about Oed who has reached the breaking point. He has an inconsiderate roommate, a recent ex-girlfriend, a boss who fired him, two long-term acquaintances, and one of them must die.

– Moxie Shorts 2006 produced 12 incredible short films, of which 10 were eligible for prizes. After being graded by our esteemed panel of judges, and voted on by three separate audiences, the following winners emerged.
